This month we have a new, detailed Health-check in two parts: A Gift Assessment for Administrators is at HC8 (Introduction) and HC9 (Questions and tests). This is designed for individual use to check out whether you have administrative gifts. There is also a set of Training Notes giving a much simpler version of this tool for more general church use: TN115, Identifying gifts of administration.

NEW: ‘A Gift Assessment for Administrators’
How do you know if you have been given a gift of administration? This detailed assessment tool explains three themes to investigate, each with three parts. The Aptitude theme is for all administrators. The Fascination theme is for those whose gifting lies more in the operational sphere. The Discipleship theme puts it all into a Christian context.
Paper HC8 provides an introduction to the tool. It notes that there are different gifts of administration (from 1 Corinthians 12), explains the three themes, each of which is given 15 questions, and provides an understanding of how the tool works.
Paper HC9 then lists all the 45 questions (15 for each theme), provides 5 sample tests for each one to give some idea of how to answer it, and includes assessment sheets to complete and an idea of how to interpret your results.

NEW: ‘Identifying gifts of administration’
The Health-check is designed for individual use, but will be too complex for wider application in a church, such as for seeking out gifted volunteer organisers or interviewing administrative staff. So a much simplified version has been uploaded in the form of a set of Training Notes.
TN115 takes the same model of Aptitude, Fascination and Discipleship, the same sections, but reduces the questions to short statements without the sample tests at all. These Training Notes will be of wide application in churches.
