Ministers of larger churches meet a perplexing range of demands. Without the framework of a job description in some form, priorities can be difficult to assess.
Here is a possible job description listing ten key responsibilities, to act as a template for any specific appointment. It is written with an Anglican incumbent in mind but can be easily adapted to a different structural environment.
The template is then followed by a short set of notes to explain, among other things, the order chosen for the responsibilties listed.
