This is a supplement to Article A3, Salary differentials for Christian staff. It is a critique of the General Synod report on this topic.
It examines the report as a whole, the idea of reward, double payment, the counter-culture model, the definition of stipend and child allowance. The conclusion is that the synod report's arguments for paying differentials are highly questionable.
