Distance learning course for Church Administrators

One of John's latest writing projects is a distance learning module written on behalf of the UK Church Administrator Network for St John's College, Nottingham. Details have been announced today.
The module consists of 10 units and has been prepared for those who work as Church Office Administrators in some form within their local church. It will count as 20 credits towards the St John's Certificate of Christian Studies but stands on its own.
Units cover roles, people-skills, a biblical foundation, the office, being well organised, working with colleagues, communication, systems and structures, handling files and personal development.
The hope is to launch the module in February 2014. It costs £260 which includes all study materials and the personal involvement of a tutor who will also mark the three assignments that have to be submitted. John will act as the initial tutor but hopes to build a small team of others who could share the role in future.
