CUTTING EDGE 2011
UCAN is organising a 50 hour residential event at High Leigh Conference Centre, Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire from 21st to 23rd March 2011.
This is the second in the CUTTING EDGE series of events specifically designed for our 'senior manager' category of Church Administrators. The first was a day event in London on 1st July 2010.
The event will have two themes:
New forms of communication using modern technology: the changing shape of websites, the use of Facebook and Twitter, virtual offices, paper-free communication. Speakers include Andrew Graystone, Director of the Church + Media Network and Peter Crumpler, Director of Communications for the Archbishops' Council of the Church of England.
- New forms of unpaid church staff: the recruitment and motivation of teams of church members and interns who can give signficiant amounts of time to church work on a regular basis. Speakers include Phil George, Operational Director of New Wine and members of St Michael le Belfrey, York.
